Where Danish-language phone answering helps
A friendly answer in Danish makes booking, asking a question or leaving a message easier for the caller and for your team.

Answer questions about tours, pick-up times and hire bookings in Danish or English, take bookings and pass special requests to your team. Visitors planning a trip get a clear answer before they arrive.

Real estate and rentals
Book property viewings in Danish, take enquiries about a listing and pass serious buyers or tenants to the right agent.

Schools and education providers
Answer questions about courses, intakes and open days in Danish or English, and pass enrolment enquiries to your team.

How we set up your Danish AI receptionist
Three steps. We do the heavy lifting.
Tell us about your callers
Which languages they speak, what they call about, and what a good call ends with: a booking, a message or a transfer.
We build and test it in Danish
Your greeting, hours, services and booking rules in English and Danish, tested on calls with your own names and places.
Go live on your number
Forward your existing number. Every call comes with a transcript and summary, and we keep improving it.
What makes Danish-language calls different?
Speaking Danish well on the phone takes more than translating English sentences.
One Danish voice
Mette speaks Danish. There is no Faroese or Greenlandic voice. Callers from every part of Denmark can talk to Mette, and we test with your own callers before go-live.
Du and first names
Danish business calls are informal: most callers expect "du" and first names, even with a company they have never called before. The receptionist follows that convention and keeps the tone friendly and direct.
Halvfems is 90
Danish counts some tens in scores, so halvtreds is 50 and halvfems is 90, and Danes often say phone numbers in pairs. A phone number spoken in Danish was transcribed correctly in our tests, and the receptionist still reads numbers back digit by digit before saving them.
Names with æ, ø and å
Names such as Sørensen, Kærgaard or Ågesen carry letters English keyboards do not have, and many people use a simpler spelling in New Zealand and Australia. Your team gets the summary in English with the name spelled the way it appears on your records.
An example call in Danish
A caller books a property viewing and the agent reads her phone number back. Illustrative example, not a recording.

Tak. Jeg gentager nummeret: nul, to, syv, tre, fire, fem, seks, syv, otte. Er det rigtigt?
Thank you. Let me repeat the number: 0 2 7 3 4 5 6 7 8. Is that right?

Yes, that's right.

Danish AI receptionist: common questions
Which Danish accents does the AI receptionist speak?
One: Mette has a female Danish voice. There is no Faroese or Greenlandic voice. Callers with any Danish accent can talk to Mette, and before go-live we run test calls with your own callers so you can hear how it handles them.
Can callers switch between English and Danish?
Yes. The receptionist switches to Danish when a caller asks for it or starts speaking Danish, and back to English the same way. It is easiest to follow when each sentence stays in one language, so it confirms key details before saving them.
Does it understand phone numbers spoken in Danish?
Yes. A phone number spoken in Danish was transcribed correctly in our tests. The receptionist also reads numbers back to the caller before saving them, so any mistake gets fixed on the call.
Will it use du or De with callers?
Du. Danish businesses usually use du and first names, so the receptionist does too. If your business prefers a more formal tone, we set that up for you before go-live.
Can I try a Danish demo now?
Yes. Talk to the Danish agent on this page, in your browser. Calls run for up to four minutes.
Can we keep our 1300 or 1800 number?
Yes. You keep your number and forward calls to the AI receptionist, all the time or only when you are busy, do not answer or are closed. A mobile number can forward the same way. You do not need a new number.
Can it transfer calls to our staff and send a summary?
Yes. It can put a caller through to a staff member's mobile when they need a person, and it sends a summary of every call to your team, with the transcript in your portal.
Can it give medical, legal or financial advice in Danish?
No. In regulated industries the agent handles admin only: bookings, opening hours, directions and messages. Anything that needs advice goes to your qualified staff.
Does a Danish receptionist cost more than English?
No. Danish calls are charged at the same per-minute rate as English, from 95c a minute down to 77c in New Zealand and 71c in Australia. Credit never expires and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Where is call data stored?
Transcripts, call records, contact details and billing are stored in Sydney. The live audio, recording files, speech processing and the language model run offshore. We meet cross-border accountability requirements through documented arrangements with our voice infrastructure partner.
