A dot is an always-on agent inside ChatGPT, launched by OpenAI on 29 September 2026. It has its own cloud computer and browser, connects to over 4,000 apps through plugins, learns from your feedback and keeps making progress between conversations.
You can message or call it in ChatGPT, and message it in Slack and Teams. When you are not working with it, it looks for ways to help through proactive research, using read-only access to your connected apps.
Dots are rolling out to ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium, where your first dot is included in the plan at no extra cost. Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare workspaces can try the beta once an admin turns it on. Dots are for users aged 18 and over, and the rollout to eligible accounts is gradual.
Our Dots training starts at $1,995 + GST for a three hour AI Foundations workshop with up to 10 people, $3,995 + GST for AI Power User and $5,995 + GST for the six hour AI Builder Bootcamp. ChatGPT plans are billed by OpenAI, not by us.
With Custom Rules. For each kind of action you choose whether the dot takes action without asking, takes action only if pre-approved, asks before acting, or hands off to you. Auto-review checks risky actions, and changing a password or moving money always comes back to a person.
We set those rules with your team in the session, connect only the apps each dot needs, and show everyone how to follow its work in Activity View. ChatGPT Business and Enterprise content is not used to train OpenAI's models by default.

ChatGPT Work is an agent for a single longer piece of work, such as a report, spreadsheet or deck, that you start and then review. A dot is always on: it works towards goals over time, between conversations, and can start tasks in Work or Codex for you. Those tasks count towards your usage limits, while chatting with your dot does not.
Only if your Custom Rules allow it, and some actions always come back to a person. Changing a password or transferring money always hands off to you, and purchases on a saved card need your approval. We set the rules so external messages are held for approval until your team is comfortable.
Not by default on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu. OpenAI also says it does not train directly on proactive research or a dot's notes. Disconnecting an app does not delete what a dot already learned from it, only resetting the dot does, so we cover what to connect before you connect it.
Yes. We run sessions onsite anywhere in New Zealand, in Sydney and Brisbane, or online over Teams or Zoom. Each person works on their own ChatGPT account and their own jobs, so the dots keep running after we leave.
It helps but is not required. Teams new to ChatGPT start with AI Foundations, which covers good briefs and safe data habits alongside a first dot. Teams already using ChatGPT daily go straight to AI Power User.
