First-token latency under 800ms on the standard configuration. End-to-end response (caller stops speaking, agent starts speaking) lands between 900ms and 1.4s depending on which LLM tier you pick. Below 1.5s the conversation feels natural; above 2s it gets uncomfortable.

Can it transfer calls to humans?

Yes. Warm transfer: the AI hands the call to a named human with a one-line context summary so your team is not in the dark. Cold transfer is also supported but rarely used. We support transfer triggers based on caller intent, sentiment, specific keywords, or fallback after a set number of misunderstood turns.

Will it understand Australian and NZ accents?

Yes. Transcription is robust to AU, NZ, UK, US, Indian, Filipino, and most European accents. We test on real calls during onboarding. NZ-specific Kiwi accents are documented in a dedicated post on the blog.
