Talk to Nurul in English or Malay. Switch back and forth during the call, or mix the two the way many Malaysians do, and she follows you.

Your own AI receptionist is set up around your business: opening hours, services, bookings and how calls are passed to your staff.
Where Malay-language phone answering helps
For businesses that look after Malay-speaking customers, students and families, an answer in Bahasa Melayu makes a booking or a question feel easy.

Education and student services
Students and their parents can ask about courses, intake dates, accommodation and appointments in Malay, even when the call comes in from Malaysia outside your office hours. The receptionist takes the details and books a time with your student team, with a summary in English.

Halal restaurants and catering
Table bookings, catering orders for family events, opening hours and approved menu questions in Malay or English, while your kitchen keeps cooking.

Medical and dental clinics
Appointment requests, changes, opening hours and directions in Malay. Clinical questions go to your qualified staff, never to the AI.

Property management and rentals
Tenants and landlords can report a repair, book an inspection or leave a message for their property manager in Malay, with the address and a callback number written down.

Travel and tourism
Visitors from Malaysia can ask about tours, change a booking or check pick-up times in Malay, and the receptionist passes anything unusual to your team.
How we set up your Malay AI receptionist
Three steps. We do the heavy lifting.
Tell us about your callers
Which languages they speak, what they call about, and what a good call ends with: a booking, a message or a transfer.
We build and test it in Malay
Your greeting, hours, services and booking rules in English and Malay, tested on calls with your own names and places.
Go live on your number
Forward your existing number. Every call comes with a transcript and summary, and we keep improving it.
What makes Malay-language calls different?
Speaking Malay well on the phone takes more than translating English sentences.
Malaysian Malay, not Indonesian
Nurul speaks Malaysian Malay. Malay and Indonesian are close, but everyday words differ: a car is "kereta" in Malaysia and "mobil" in Indonesia. The receptionist uses Malaysian words and spelling. If most of your callers speak Indonesian, see our Indonesian page, which has its own agent.
Manglish is normal
Malaysians often mix English into Malay in the same sentence: "Saya nak buat appointment, boleh?" The listening model hears Malay and English together, so callers can talk the way they normally do, and the receptionist follows the language they use.
Encik, Puan and Cik
Malay callers expect polite titles: "Encik" for a man, "Puan" for a married woman and "Cik" for a younger or unmarried woman. Malay names often include "bin" or "binti" (son of, daughter of), so the receptionist uses the caller's given name with the title, such as "Puan Aminah", and records the full name as given.
Kosong for zero, petang for afternoon
Many Malaysians say "kosong" for zero when reading a phone number, and times come with a part of the day: "pukul tiga petang" is 3pm and "pukul lapan malam" is 8pm. Phone numbers spoken in Malay were transcribed correctly in our tests, and the receptionist reads booking times and numbers back to confirm.
An example call in Malay
A caller books a dental clean and the agent reads her number back. Illustrative example, not a recording.

Malay AI receptionist: common questions
Which Malay accents does the AI receptionist speak?
One: Nurul has a Malaysian Malay female voice. It is not an Indonesian voice: Indonesian callers have their own page and agent. Before go-live we run test calls with your own callers so you can hear how it handles their accent.
Can callers switch between English and Malay?
Yes. The receptionist hears Malay and English in the same call. Callers can switch back and forth as often as they like and the agent follows, replying in the language they last used.
Does it understand phone numbers spoken in Malay?
Yes. Phone numbers spoken in Malay were transcribed correctly in our tests. The receptionist also reads numbers back to the caller before saving them, so any mistake gets fixed on the call.
Does it understand Manglish?
Yes. Mixing English words into Malay is how many Malaysians talk, and the listening model hears both languages together. We still test it with your own service names, street names and suburbs before go-live.
Can I try a Malay demo now?
Yes. Talk to the Malay agent on this page, in your browser. Calls run for up to four minutes.
Can we keep our 1300 or 1800 number?
Yes. You keep your number and forward calls to the AI receptionist, all the time or only when you are busy, do not answer or are closed. A mobile number can forward the same way. You do not need a new number.
Can it transfer calls to our staff and send a summary?
Yes. It can put a caller through to a staff member's mobile when they need a person, and it sends a summary of every call to your team, with the transcript in your portal.
Can it give medical, legal or financial advice in Malay?
No. In regulated industries the agent handles admin only: bookings, opening hours, directions and messages. Anything that needs advice goes to your qualified staff.
Does a Malay receptionist cost more than English?
No. Malay calls are charged at the same per-minute rate as English, from 95c a minute down to 77c in New Zealand and 71c in Australia. Credit never expires and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Where is call data stored?
Transcripts, call records, contact details and billing are stored in Sydney. The live audio, recording files, speech processing and the language model run offshore. We meet cross-border accountability requirements through documented arrangements with our voice infrastructure partner.
