What is an Arabic AI receptionist?
An Arabic AI receptionist answers your business phone in Arabic or English, so callers can ask a question, book an appointment or leave a message without waiting for a staff member.
Waboom AI offers two voices: Layla, who speaks with a Gulf accent, and Omar, who speaks Modern Standard Arabic. Call handling is set up around your business, with handover to your staff and booking through your own workflows. Built for businesses across New Zealand and Australia.

Where Arabic-language phone answering helps
When an Arabic-speaking caller is answered in Arabic, booking, asking a question or leaving a message takes less effort for everyone.

Medical and dental clinics
Appointment requests, changes and cancellations, opening hours and directions, handled in Arabic. The receptionist reads the caller's number back before saving it and passes anything clinical to your qualified staff.

Real estate
Buyers, sellers and tenants asking about listings, open homes and appraisals. The receptionist takes the property address and contact details and books a viewing or a callback from the agent.

Education and tutoring
Parents and students asking about enrolment, term dates, class times and Arabic language classes. The receptionist answers the approved questions and books an enrolment visit.

Professional services
First calls to accountants, lawyers and consultants: who is calling, what they need and a booked consultation. No advice is given on the call.

Community organisations
Event times, programme details, volunteer enquiries and messages for staff, answered in Arabic after hours and when the office is busy.
How we set up your Arabic AI receptionist
Three steps. We do the heavy lifting.
Tell us about your callers
Which languages they speak, what they call about, and what a good call ends with: a booking, a message or a transfer.
We build and test it in Arabic
Your greeting, hours, services and booking rules in English and Arabic, tested on calls with your own names and places.
Go live on your number
Forward your existing number. Every call comes with a transcript and summary, and we keep improving it.
What makes Arabic-language calls different?
Speaking Arabic well on the phone takes more than translating English sentences.
Gulf and Modern Standard Arabic voices
Layla speaks with a Gulf (Khaleeji) accent and Omar speaks Modern Standard Arabic, the form most callers recognise from news and formal speech. There is no Levantine, Egyptian or Maghrebi voice. Callers from those regions can talk to Layla or Omar too, and we test with your own callers before go-live.
One language per sentence
The receptionist switches to Arabic when a caller asks or starts speaking Arabic. While it is speaking Arabic it listens in Arabic, so an English word or phrase dropped into an Arabic sentence is harder to follow. It confirms key details, such as names, dates and addresses, before saving them.
Phone numbers, digit by digit
In our tests, phone numbers spoken in Arabic were transcribed correctly, one digit at a time. The receptionist reads every number back to the caller in Arabic and waits for a yes before saving it.
Names with many English spellings
Arabic names are written several ways in English: Mohammed, Muhammad or Mohamed; Hussein or Hussain. If your records or booking system need an English spelling, we set the receptionist to confirm it with the caller, so the right person is matched to the right file.
An example call in Arabic
A caller books a GP appointment at a medical clinic and the agent reads his number back. Written in Modern Standard Arabic. Illustrative example, not a recording.

Thank you, Mr Ahmed. Let me read the number back to confirm: 0412 345 678. Is that correct?

Arabic AI receptionist: common questions
Which Arabic accents does the AI receptionist speak?
Two: Layla speaks with a Gulf (Khaleeji) accent and Omar speaks Modern Standard Arabic. There is no Levantine, Egyptian or Maghrebi voice. Callers from those regions can talk to Layla or Omar too, and before go-live we run test calls with your own callers so you can hear how it handles their dialect.
Can callers switch between English and Arabic?
Yes. The receptionist switches to Arabic when a caller asks for it or starts speaking Arabic, and back to English the same way. While it is speaking Arabic it listens in Arabic, so mixing both languages inside one sentence is harder to follow. It confirms key details before saving them.
Does it understand phone numbers spoken in Arabic?
Yes. In our tests, phone numbers spoken in Arabic were transcribed correctly, digit by digit. The receptionist reads every number back to the caller in Arabic before saving it, so any mistake is fixed on the call.
How does it handle Arabic names that are spelt different ways in English?
Names like Mohammed or Hussein have several English spellings. When your records need an English spelling, we set the receptionist to confirm it with the caller, and we test your own common names before go-live.
Can I try an Arabic demo now?
Yes. Talk to the Arabic agents on this page, in your browser. Calls run for up to four minutes.
Can we keep our 1300 or 1800 number?
Yes. You keep your number and forward calls to the AI receptionist, all the time or only when you are busy, do not answer or are closed. A mobile number can forward the same way. You do not need a new number.
Can it transfer calls to our staff and send a summary?
Yes. It can put a caller through to a staff member's mobile when they need a person, and it sends a summary of every call to your team, with the transcript in your portal.
Can it give medical, legal or financial advice in Arabic?
No. In regulated industries the agent handles admin only: bookings, opening hours, directions and messages. Anything that needs advice goes to your qualified staff.
Does an Arabic receptionist cost more than English?
No. Arabic calls are charged at the same per-minute rate as English, from 95c a minute down to 77c in New Zealand and 71c in Australia. Credit never expires and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Where is call data stored?
Transcripts, call records, contact details and billing are stored in Sydney. The live audio, recording files, speech processing and the language model run offshore. We meet cross-border accountability requirements through documented arrangements with our voice infrastructure partner.
